Terms of Service

Effective date: 17 July 2026 · Last updated: 17 July 2026

These Terms are a contract between you and Zanatech Ltd (“Flippd”, “we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17327817), registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using flippdkids.com, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Flippd.

Plain-English summaries appear in boxes like the one below. They aren’t part of the contract — the full text governs — but we want you to actually understand what you’re agreeing to.

In short: You must be an adult to create an account. Your kids play under profiles you own and control. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel — which takes two clicks. You get a 30-day, 100% money-back guarantee on your first purchase. Be nice, don’t hack us, and we’ll look after your family’s data.

1. Who can use Flippd

1.1 You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract to create an account. Accounts belong to parents/guardians (“you”). Children use Flippd only through player profiles inside your account, under your supervision and responsibility.

1.2 You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for all activity on your account.

1.3 One account per family. Player profile limits depend on your plan.

2. The service

2.1 Flippd is a geography learning game: flashcards, quizzes, and games covering countries, capitals, flags, currencies and languages, with a parent dashboard and (for subscribers) a weekly leaderboard.

2.2 We update content and features continually. We may add, change, or retire features, worlds, or game modes, provided this doesn’t materially reduce what you’ve paid for during a paid period.

2.3 Flippd is an educational entertainment product. We work hard to keep geographic facts accurate and current, but borders, capitals, currencies, and flags change, and reasonable people disagree about some of them. Content is provided for learning through play, not as an authoritative reference.

3. Free plan

The free plan (one player profile, one world pack, all game modes) is free forever and needs no payment card. We may change what the free plan includes for new users, but we’ll give existing users reasonable notice of any reduction.

4. Subscriptions, billing & renewal

4.1 Plans. Family plan pricing is shown on the pricing page in your local currency before you pay: monthly, every 3 months, or annually. Prices include VAT where applicable; US prices may attract sales tax at checkout depending on your state.

4.2 Auto-renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel. We state this at checkout and you consent to it there.

4.3 Cancellation. Cancel any time from the billing page in your dashboard — two clicks, no phone calls, no emails required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep full access until then. We don’t offer partial-period refunds beyond your statutory rights and Section 5.

4.4 Price changes. We’ll email you at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect on your plan. If you don’t want the new price, cancel before your renewal.

4.5 Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. If a renewal payment fails we’ll retry and email you; if it still fails, your plan reverts to the free tier (your data is kept — see the Privacy Policy).

5. Your cooling-off and refund rights

In short: 30 days, 100% of your money back, no questions asked, on your first purchase of any plan. If your kids aren’t learning and loving it, we haven’t earned it.

5.1 Our 30-day money-back guarantee. For your first purchase of any paid plan, you may request a full refund within 30 days of the purchase date, for any reason or none. This is a contractual promise from us and applies worldwide.

5.2 UK & EU statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms reduces your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 / Consumer Rights Directive — our 30-day guarantee is broader and sits on top of it.

5.3 Renewals. If you meant to cancel and got charged for a renewal, contact support@flippdkids.com within 7 days of the charge and we’ll refund it.

5.4 To claim any refund, email support@flippdkids.com from your account email. Refunds go to the original payment method within 14 days of your request.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) share account access outside your household; (b) attempt to access other users’ data, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems, or interfere with the service; (c) scrape, copy, or redistribute our content, code, artwork, or question banks; (d) use bots or automation to play games or manipulate leaderboards; (e) reverse-engineer the service except where law permits; (f) use Flippd for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, with refunds at our reasonable discretion except where law requires otherwise.

7. Leaderboards & fair play

Leaderboards display auto-generated nicknames only. We may reset scores, remove entries, or exclude profiles from leaderboards where we reasonably suspect cheating or automation.

8. Intellectual property

8.1 Flippd — including its name, logo, characters, lore, artwork, software, and question content — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trade mark law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your family’s personal, non-commercial use while these Terms apply.

8.2 Flags, maps, and country data are drawn from public and licensed sources. National flags themselves are public symbols; our compilations, distractor logic, and presentations are our own work.

8.3 Feedback you send us can be used by us without obligation — thank you, we read all of it.

9. Availability, warranties & liability

9.1 We aim for the service to be available at all times but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access; maintenance, updates, and events beyond our control can cause downtime. The offline (PWA) mode depends on your device and what has been cached.

9.2 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law — nor does anything reduce your statutory consumer rights (UK Consumer Rights Act 2015; EU consumer law; applicable US state consumer laws). Digital content must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality; if it isn’t, you’re entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

9.3 Subject to 9.2: we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control, or losses arising from your breach of these Terms; and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in that period.

9.4 Flippd is a consumer product for families. It is not a substitute for a school curriculum, and we make no warranty about educational outcomes (though we’re very proud of the learning it produces).

10. Termination

10.1 You can close your account any time from the dashboard or by emailing support@flippdkids.com. Closure deletes your family’s data per the Privacy Policy retention schedule.

10.2 We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms. Where practical we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

10.3 If we ever discontinue Flippd entirely, we’ll give paid subscribers at least 60 days’ notice and pro-rata refunds for any unused paid period.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we’ll email you at least 30 days before they take effect; continuing to use Flippd after that date means you accept them. If you don’t, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of any prepaid period affected by the change.

12. Governing law & disputes

12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live — including for EU residents, the EU Online Dispute Resolution framework, and for US residents, your state’s consumer protection laws and small-claims courts.

12.2 Before any formal dispute, please contact support@flippdkids.com — nearly everything can be sorted with an email.
